Sanford Rocks

March 6, 2017

Dear Family,

Hows it?

Life is pretty good here, in Sanford Colorado, been here about a week, and man, I love it so much! I was sad to leave my last zone, area, and companion, but this is where I'm needed, so I have no complaints! My new companion is Jackson Seymour from Alpine, Utah, but everyone calls him Scooby haha. We get along great, for obvious reasons!

So here is a short Anthology of my week!

Monday was pretty insane, as I said goodbye to some dope friends, and my super dope companion, and drove for 4 hours straight down to the valley in a sweet blizzard! Arizona boi here has got some sweet blizzard driving skills ;)

The area here is pretty small, but I cover two wards!! Insane how many daggum Mormons are here. like 85% of the town is Mormon lol. I continue to practice guitar, and all the sudden I have a wee bit more time than I would like on my hands, so typically we get done around 8 and attempt to run and then work out. So that's cool.

This entire week I couldn't fall asleep for hours on end, and then I struggled to get up, so that's always the best!

Sunday I got to meet with the Wards, and that was pretty sweet, a little girl turned around and told me she loved me, which made my day, and I had the opportunity to bare my testimony

Today was insane already! We woke up and got driving because we went down to Foxcreek and I made a dope steak and egg breakfast. We then went sledding up in the mountains during a crazy snowstorm. Somehow I was driving again, and boy, it was shweet. When we finally arrived I got right to freezing my hiney off, and I even got to try a stand-up sled with feet inserts! I wasn't very good tho.... We then got home safely after getting stuck and then unstuck out of a ditch. Also sweet!

I want to take the time to bare my testimony to you of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Sometimes, maybe even often we fall. We get sullied. We get badgered, bruised, broken, busted, burnt. We feel inadequate, we feel unworthy, we feel like what's the point of being here? We feel that we aren't loved. I testify to you that Jesus Christ can heal these things. I know this because I have felt all of these. And I have been healed. My past isn't all sunshine and rainbows, I'm no knight in shining in armor. I'm not even good sometimes. But I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and because of Him, Im more than I could ever imagine. Im clean. He lives, and He loves me. And you.

Have a great week

Love,
Elder Rogers
