The Gray Girls got Baptized.

November 28, 2018

Hey Family,

So this week was pretty good, I've been doing way better at waking up on time, and my new companion is into fitness, so that's cool! Thanksgiving was amazing, we ate with the Grammers and the Shumways, who are both super cool families! I love the ward here, feels like home.

So we kinda had a slow week, but we have been meeting with a lot of cool people. Ava and Katie Gray, 11 and 9, both got interviewed for baptism this Wednesday, and I had the huge blessing of baptizing them. I will send a pic for proof! '

As I've contemplated my mission thus far, I can see the hand of the Lord in it daily. Not only has it gone by incredibly fast, but I have learned so much in such a short time. I know that this is Christ's work, and as I've humbled myself and relied on God for my strength I have seen miracles happen.

Truly Moroni's words in Ether 12:27 validates this, as humility brings our souls closer to our God, so that He can make our weak things become strengths. I have had many humbling experiences on my mission, whether through witnessing miracles or making mistakes, but either way, I testify of the infinite capacity of the Atonement to better our lives and make us into the men and women God wants us to be.

At the baptism of the Grays I had the opportunity to baptize both of them, and as I did the Spirit bore powerful witness to me that what these little girls were doing was right. Also, I got super splashed with water, so everyone there saw a lot of Elder Rogers, unfortunately for them!

Anyways, I know this Church is true. I know that Christ lives and that He loves us! The Book of Mormon testifies of it!

Love,
Elder Rogers
