Another week has come and gone, and I have no clue why its gone by so fast. The days literally melt together, into a delicious, yet bittersweet, sandwich of time.
So as you all know by now, I'm spotty at best when it comes to email. I would like to formally apologize, I'm going to try to do better. As the title of my email states, I am in the Stetson Hills ward. The ward boundaries can be found in the East Stake, and my ward starts on N. Carefree and goes to Stetson Hills, and from Powers to Marksheffel Rd. Not the biggest ward boundaries but from the bottom to the top of my area there is a 385-foot drop in elevation, preluded by a 205-foot climb. Basically, I'm biking up hills all day long, which on a fast Sunday is a kamikaze action. But I love it so much! I have decided you can either complain about adversity or love it. So I choose love!
This week was interesting, It was my grandpa, Elder Calderon's, last week as a missionary. He is such a solid example of serving the Lord and becoming better.
Right now we are working with two, part-member families, the Harmers and the Grays, and a little old lady sister Helen Torres, who will be baptized this coming Saturday! The Harmers and Grays are both really awesome, and both of their two girls want to be baptized! So we are working on them.
Overall, life is so good. I am so blessed. The more I study the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the more I am blown away by the amazing miracle of forgiveness. To be clean is the most amazing feeling. I love it. The love Jesus Christ has for me is so indescribable. I know that the Book of Mormon testifies of Him, and that it is true.
I love you all, and I hope you are well!
Love,
Elder Rogers
Elder Powell and I
He is my long lost brother
