Dear Family
Not much to report this week. We did the typical missionary thing till Friday, and Elder Burrows got sick, and has stayed sick until now. He is doing better, but we basically stayed inside all weekend, and even missed Church because of it. It was super weird, not going to church for the first time in 15 months!
Mom, Bens Poem made me cry. I am so grateful that my brothers are coming to know Christ like I do, and am. And Yeah, I got the package! Hopefully I"ll get the other ones soon. So This week was pretty low key, my comp has been sick since Friday, so Ive just been inside. pretty boring stuff. glad all is mostly well, I know Ben is pretty darn stressed about chemistry, so a hug of encouragement would probably be super beneficial for that dude! Hey mum, So I will be skyping from the Narayans, around 2-4. I will be texting/calling yall the day of so that you can know the fine details and such. So flipping excited!!
I really can't believe that Christmas has come this fast again. It feels like yesterday that I was with Elder Legaspi, saying Maligayang Pasko to him after picking him up the night before. This is my last Christmas while serving the Lord full time, and I am so humbled to represent the King. I was tracting a few months ago, and a man asked me if I knew the King, and I said, yes, I do know Jesus Christ, and he said, you know the King. 2,000 years ago Jesus was born of Mary, to be our Savior and our Redeemer. Brothers and Sisters, come and know the King. It is worth the time and effort. Read your scriptures, pray, go to church. He knows you, don't you think its only fair if we come to know Him? I know that He lives, and that because of Him, I can live. Our Father in Heaven sent Him to us to be our example, friend, and Lord. I am so grateful for the relationship that I have with Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father. The Holy Ghost has born witness to my heart over and over that they are real, and that they are here for me. Jesus Christ always invited us to follow Him, so as His representative, I implore you to listen and act. Follow Jesus Christ, seek Him. Oh be wise, what can I say more.
Merry Christmas.
Love,
Elder Rogers
